Introduction
The just-released 5G mobile phone OPPO Reno4 series has an extremely slim design. The phone's appearance is excellent, its feel is at the top level, and it's extremely comfortable to hold for a long time. In addition to appearance design, the OPPO Reno4 series has superb photography performance.
Take OPPO Reno4 Pro as an example. It is equipped with a 48-megapixel (IMX586) main camera + a 12-megapixel (IMX708) ultra-wide-angle lens + a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. The three cameras cover almost all major photo-taking scenes, and the focal length coverage It is also quite comprehensive and supports laser focus.
Let’s briefly talk about the three lenses of OPPO Reno4 Pro. Among them, the 48-megapixel (IMX586) main camera is OPPO’s most familiar lens. Previously, many high-end models of OPPO used this lens. In particular, it should be pointed out that OPPO’s current flagship Find X2 also uses this lens. The IMX586 sensor uses a 1/2-inch outsole, and the single pixel size of 48 million pixels is 0.8μm. In actual photography, four-in-one pixel technology will be used to provide large-size pixels of 1.6μm to increase the amount of light. The quality of the lens itself is good, and OPPO is very familiar with this lens and has already achieved the ultimate in targeted optimization, so there is no need to worry about imaging performance.
The 12-megapixel (IMX708) ultra-wide-angle lens is the same lens of OPPO Find X2. The IMX 708 sensor it uses has a 1/2.43-inch photosensitive area and a 1.4um single pixel area. It supports four-in-one pixel aggregation technology and provides an equivalent of 2.8 The μm single pixel area supports night scene mode and provides excellent shooting performance in dark light; the f/2.2 aperture supports up to 120-degree ultra-wide-angle photos. The viewing angle range is very close to the human eye, and it can present a WYSIWYG photo effect when taking photos. Since the sensor itself has a 16:9 ratio, which is the same as the usual video ratio, the sensor utilization rate is higher, and the video captured under electronic image stabilization also has a larger field of view.
Different from the other two lenses, the 13-megapixel telephoto lens of OPPO Reno4 Pro can provide 5x hybrid optical zoom and support up to 20x digital zoom. It can easily change distance to near, making it convenient for users to shoot distant scenes. Practicality cannot be underestimated either.
The three lenses of OPPO Reno4 Pro are all high-end. How is the actual photography performance? Let’s learn more about it through the photo samples of the machine.
When taking photos outdoors under good lighting conditions, OPPO Reno4 Pro showed impeccable photo effects, with accurate white balance and excellent color expression. Although the saturation is higher than the actual scene, the sample does not appear to have any obvious traces of software algorithm processing, just like the real scene. In particular, it should be pointed out that its photography effect in backlit scenes is quite good. As shown in the picture above, the clouds in the sky are well preserved, and the overall picture does not have any dimness that is common when shooting in backlight.
In a sunny outdoor environment, we also tried the 48-megapixel ultra-clear mode of OPPO Reno4 Pro. The advantage of this mode is the clarity. Even if the sample is enlarged to a certain extent, it can still ensure that the picture is clear enough. OPPO Reno4 Pro's 48-megapixel ultra-clear direct sample has a resolution of up to 8000X6000. After partial 100% enlargement, the picture has no blur. When the corresponding area of the sample is enlarged, the handwriting that was originally indistinguishable becomes clearly visible, as shown in the picture above.
Although 48 million pixels can capture all kinds of details, when it comes to shooting distant scenes, a telephoto lens is obviously more suitable. Actual measurements have confirmed that the zoom effect of OPPO Reno4 Pro’s telephoto lens is quite satisfactory. As shown in the picture above, the words "China Steel Group" on the top of a building hundreds of meters away from the shooting location are clearly visible after 5X zoom, and there is no blur. The 5X zoom is a hybrid zoom in Reno4 Pro, but thanks to the double-sided blessing of the lens and algorithm, the zoom effect is like a pure optical zoom.
Friends who like to take pictures know that ultra-wide-angle lenses are extremely practical. The ultra-wide-angle lens of OPPO Reno4 Pro provides an ultra-wide viewing angle of 120 degrees, and the ultra-wide-angle lens also integrates a macro photography mode. Compared with the main camera, the ultra-wide-angle mode can accommodate almost twice as much scenery, and its viewing angle range is very close to that of the human eye. Therefore, when taking photos in this mode, what you see is what you get. It is worth noting that the photo consistency of the main camera and the ultra-wide-angle lens is very good, and the white balance of the two is very close, just like the photos taken by the same lens.
In an outdoor photography environment with good lighting, OPPO Reno4 Pro performed flawlessly. In indoor environment photography, OPPO Reno4 Pro performs equally well. Photographing food is the most common indoor photography situation. The camera of OPPO Reno4 Pro can accurately identify food and then optimize the shooting parameters to make the food more tempting, as shown above. Compared with the actual color of food, the saturation of the food in the photo is higher, making it appear redder and more appetizing.
Actual measurements have confirmed that in some environments with good lighting, OPPO Reno4 Pro can take great night scene photos without turning on the night scene mode. After all, the sensor quality of this machine is very high, and coupled with excellent optimization, automatic mode shooting can meet the needs of users. At the same time, the automatic photo mode can produce photos faster, allowing photos to be shared without waiting.
In some photo scenes with very complicated lighting or darker conditions, we need to use night scene mode. OPPO Reno4 Pro's night scene mode takes pictures very quickly. We don't need to keep the phone steady for a long time when taking pictures. It only takes about 2 seconds to quickly complete the exposure, and then wait for the system to perform post-synthesis processing. As for the photo effects, let’s refer directly to the samples. The brightness of the whole picture in the night scene mode sample is sufficient, especially the leaves are very expressive, showing a clear green color, instead of the pitch black that usually occurs when taking pictures.
